Spring Renewals

Resurge

The verb “resurge” is from the Latin “resurgere,” meaning to rise again.

With Good Friday and Easter coming up this weekend, the Latin word has a hallowed meaning. And in nature the passage from one state to another state before a resurgence in the spring is exemplified by flower bulbs, like the Easter lily.

For folks in the propane industry, spring is a time when we reflect on last winter (which dispelled the notion that cold winters are a thing of the past) and look forward to renewing our trusted partnerships with each other, always with excitement and optimism for another successful year together.

Tariffs on International Propane

The unpredictable nature of international tariffs seems to change daily, and proposed tariffs on Canadian propane could return at any time. Tariffs may also impact marine terminals that import propane. A tax based on “the cost of the product” could be 10%, 25% or higher.

The tariff gamble reminds me of a line from the Dirty Harry movie, where Clint Eastwood says: “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?”

Not Subject to Tariffs

At Ray Energy, we won’t gamble with your price security.

That’s why we’ve purchased our propane supply from a diversified basket of domestic (U.S.) supply sources and we use multiple U.S. railroads, to assure you of an extremely reliable supply of propane that is not subject to tariffs.

The Skinny

At Ray Energy, we won’t gamble with your price security.

That’s why we’ve purchased our propane supply from a diversified basket of domestic supply sources, and we use multiple U.S. railroads, to assure you of an extremely reliable supply of propane that is not subject to tariffs.

Another way that we offer you price security to protect your customers is with locked-in propane prices for the summer and winter that are lower than last year’s Belvieu average.

From all of us at Ray Energy, Happy Easter. And “cheers” to another successful year together!
